Wankhede Staduim , Mumbai , Cricket Sports Ground

Mumbai, India's Wankhede Stadium is a venue for international cricket matches.[2] It is the home field of the Mumbai Indians and is owned and run by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the MCA, and the Indian Premier League (IPL) all have their headquarters there.
Churchgate, a neighborhood near Marine Drive, is where the stadium is located. Near the stadium are a number of historic cricket clubs, including the Hindu Gymkhana, Parsi Gymkhana, and Cricket Club of India (CCI).
The 2011 Cricket World Cup Final, in which India defeated Sri Lanka and became the first nation to win the Cricket World Cup on home soil, was one of several high-profile cricket games that the stadium has previously played host to. It served as the venue for Sachin Tendulkar's final international match.
Three separate venues in Mumbai have hosted Test matches. In 1933–1934, against England, the first Test ever played in India was held at the Mumbai Gymkhana venue. The second stadium in the city and home to the Cricket Club of India (CCI) hosted 17 Test matches after World War II.
The Bombay Cricket Association (BCA; now Mumbai Cricket Association) and the CCI, which controls Brabourne Stadium, disagreed over the distribution of tickets for cricket events, which led to the construction of Wankhede Stadium.[3] Following the 1973 Test between India and England, this deteriorated significantly. By hiring Shashi Prabhu & Associates as their architects and B.E. Billimoria & Co as their contractors, BCA erected the new stadium in South Bombay (now South Mumbai) next to the Churchgate station at the initiative of politician and Mumbai Cricket Association secretary S. K. Wankhede. In 1974, it was given the name Wankhede.[Reference needed] It was constructed in around 13 months and finished in time for the 1975 final Test match between India and the West Indies.[4] Since that time, Wankhede Stadium has served as the city's primary cricket venue.
