The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, often known as the HPCA Stadium, is a stunning cricket stadium that can be found in the Himachal Pradesh city of Dharamshala in the Kangra district of India. The Dalai Lama of Tibet resides in the town of Dharamsala, which is best known internationally as his residence. Additionally, it is regarded as one of the most stunning cricket grounds in the entire globe.

The stadium served as the Himachal Pradesh cricket team's home field for matches in the Ranji Trophy and other local competitions. As the home venue for Kings XI Punjab, the stadium has also hosted some IPL games.
The gorgeous location is exceptional in India because it is 1,457 meters above sea level and has the Himalayan mountains in the background, which are covered with snow. Regular matches are difficult to arrange because of the challenging terrain and harsh winters, which include rain and snow. Dharamsala is roughly 8 kilometers from the adjacent Kangra Airport.
During his term as director of India's National Cricket Academy, Dav Whatmore, suggested that the stadium be used for international cricket matches. The Pakistani cricket team was the first international team to play on this field when they faced an India A squad in a warm-up game in 2005.
On January 27, 2013, India and England played in this stadium's inaugural One Day International (ODI). The game was won by England by 7 wickets. From March 25 to March 29, 2017, India and Australia played the first Test at this venue.[3]India easily defeated England by 8 wickets in the Test match.
Along with the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, JSCA International Stadium Complex, Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Holkar Stadium, and Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, the HPCA stadium was chosen as one of the six new Test match venues in India in November 2015.[4]
The location has occasionally hosted IPL games and has a reputation for six hitting because of its high altitude. At the HPCA stadium, against RCB, in 2011, Adam Gilchrist became the first player to reach a century in the IPL. His innings included a 122-meter six off Charl Langeveldt.
