Sawai Mansingh venue , Jaipur rajasthan , Sports ground

In Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, there is a cricket venue called the Sawai Mansingh venue. It bears the name of Sawai Man Singh II, a previous Maharaja of the Jaipur empire. It is located in the PKMB's southwest corner. The stadium has 30,000 seats. As of July 2013, Google Street View allowed for tours of the stadium and its surroundings. It has hosted 19 ODIs and 1 Test as of August 19, 2017.
Beginning in February 1987, when Pakistan President General Zia-ul-Haq crossed the border to attend the second day of play as part of his "Cricket for Peace" campaign, the Sawai Mansingh Stadium has been the site of a single Test match between India and Pakistan.
Both the fact that Younis Ahmed played in a Test match for the first time in more than 17 years and the fact that Sunil Gavaskar was dismissed to the opening ball of the match for the third time in his otherwise successful career made the Test remarkable.to gather
After the third day of play was called off due to heavy rain and a dispute over the supposed deposit of sawdust on the pitch, which Pakistan objected to, the match fizzled to a draw.
The same two teams played each other on October 2, 1983, to begin the stadium's first-ever ODI cricket match. The Indians, playing with the same starting lineup that won the World Cup final, easily triumphed by four wickets.
The venue has also held two World Cup games, in 1987 and 1996, with the West Indies defeating Australia in the latter and losing to England in the former. The most recent ODI played there was between India and Australia in October 2013, which they easily won by only losing one wicket while chasing 362 in just 43.3 overs despite the pitch being abhorrently flat and giving the bowlers absolutely nothing to work with.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni's 183 (not out) in ODIs on this field is the greatest individual score by a batsman.
As India chased down a total of 359 against Australia, the second-highest successful chase in ODIs (after the historic Johannesburg match between Australia and South Africa), Virat Kohli made the quickest 100 for India in ODIs at this location.
