Saritaben Laxmanbhai Gayakwad is an Indian sprinter who excels in the 400 and 400 hurdles. She was born on June 1st, 1994. She competed in the Indian women's relay team that won the gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games in the 4 x 400-meter relay.

early years
Gayakwad was born on June 1st, 1994 in a tribal family in the Gujarati hamlet of Kharadi Amba in the Dang District. Before switching to sprinting in 2010, she competed for her state at the national level in kho kho. As of 2018, she is employed as a tax official.
Career
Gayakwad was chosen to compete for India in the women's 4 x 400-meter relay at the Commonwealth Games in Australia in 2018. The team finished eighth in the final with a timing of 3:33.61, making her the first track and field athlete from the state to be selected for the Commonwealth Games. She was then chosen for the women's 4 400-meter relay squad at the 2018 Asian Games. Gayakwad, M. R. Poovamma, Hima Das, and V. K. Vismaya's foursome finished first in the final with a time of 3:28.72.
