In addition to leading the France national team, Kylian Mbappé Lottin (born December 20, 1998) plays forward for Ligue 1 Club Paris Saint-Germain. He is regarded as one of the top players in the world and is well known for his shooting, dribbling, and outstanding speed.
Mbappé started his professional club career in 2015 by playing for Monaco, where he won the Ligue 1 championship. He was born in Paris and reared in the nearby town of Bondy. With a €180 million permanent transfer to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, Mbappé, then 18 years old, became the second-most expensive player and most expensive teen player in history.[4] There, he led the team to its first-ever appearance in the UEFA Champions League final in 2020 and won five Ligue 1 championships and three Coupes de France, including a domestic quadruple in the 2019–20 season. He ranks third all-time in assists and is the club's leading scorer ever.
Mbappé earned his senior debut for France in 2017 at the age of 18 on the international stage. Mbappé became the second teenager, after Pelé, to score in a World Cup Final at the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He also became the youngest French player to score at a World Cup. As France won the competition, he finished as the joint second-highest scorers, and for his efforts he was awarded the FIFA World Cup Best Young Player and French Player of the Year awards. France made it to the FIFA World Cup final in 2022, where Mbappé set a record for most goals ever scored in a World Cup final while also winning the Golden Boot and Silver Ball.
In addition to being named to the UEFA Team of the Year in 2018 and the UEFA Champions League Squad of the Season in 2016–17, 2019–20, 2020–21, and 2021–22, Mbappé was also nominated to the FIFA FIFPro World11 in 2018, 2019 and 2022. In addition to being nominated for the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year in 2019 and 2023, he received the Golden Boy award in 2017. Mbappé has finished as the top scorer in Ligue 1 for a joint-record five seasons, won Ligue 1 Player of the Year a record four times, and became the first player to win both awards in the league's 2021–22 campaign. He was one of Time magazine's top 100 global influencers in 2023.
